The T88/11 was the final iteration of Lola's Chevrolet IMSA GTP design following on from the race winning T710, the T86/10 and the T87/10, the car, fitted with a normally aspirated 6-litre (366 cu in) Chevrolet V8 was supplied to Peerless Automotive. It seems that there were only minor changes from the T87/10, it competed in four IMSA races with three DNFs and a 4th.

In 1990 was purchased by Eagle Performance and to promote their wares the chassis was fitted with a 10.2 litre (623 cu. ins.) 4-cam, 32 valve V8 engine (based on a Chevrolet Big Block engine) in order to compete in that year's Le Mans 24 Hours in the C1 Class and, with only the changes necessary for the new engine, Eagle Performance renamed the car the "Eagle 700". The race was a disaster with insufficient testing resulting in a DNQ and the end of line until, purchased by Mike Leicester, it was returned to its IMSA spec.
