The sole chassis HU8710-01 was built at the end of 1986 and invoiced to Carl Haas (as Lola's North American agent) on the 31st December 1986 and it then seems to have stayed in the Lola factory until it was exported to the Hendricks Motorsport team on the 28th October 1987. It was fitted with a normally aspirated 6-litre (366 cu in) V8 and there are no details in Lola Heritages as to any changes from the T86/10 although it did have shorter rear bodywork and a two element rear wing.

It competed in nine races in the 1988 IMSA Series mostly driven by Sarel van der Merwe and Elliot Forbes-Robinson with Bobby Rahal having two outings. Results were generally disappointing as the design was starting to show its age and six DNFs meant the only results of note were a third at Lime Rock in May and a fifth at Columbus in October.
