Lola Mk1 when owned by the late Bill Hirst. It was originally a Grant Clark Lola and I think Grant purchased it from Eric Broadley personally...

...Frank Salem bought it and put a BMW engine in it. He had some success with it in Ontario races. Then, Bill purchased the car and raced it successfully.

Mark Donohue's Lola T70. Seen in the photo are Karl Kainhofer, Mark Donohue's mechanic and a very young Bob Holbert (Who died all too early in an airplane crash). Karl told me that in the spring of 1966 he and Mark put together a Lola T70 which they raced at the Players' 200 at Mosport. The engine gave out. However, in the first Can-Am race at Mosport in the fall of that year Mark and the Lola were successful. (From the Karl Kainhofer collection)
