Ian Wagstaff has sent us these great shots of David Good and his T70 taken at the Great Auclum National Speed Hill Climb. The 440 yard Great Auclum climb was held in the grounds of a country house in Berkshire and was a round of the RAC Hillclimb Championship until 1974 when the course was closed.
David Good bought the T70 MkI from Mike Taylor who had only used in once from new, David used it for Hillclimbing as he was unable to get a circuit racing licence due to a withered arm. Good enterd the car for Roy Pierpoint in a handful of races in the UK in 1965 and then sold the car on. It ended up in South Africa were it was driven by both Roy Pierpoint and Doug Serrurier where it scored a few good results. In 1970 Serrurier took the running gear, engine and gearbox and converted the car to F5000 T140 spec.
