T70 SL71/19 is currently owned by one of its original drivers, Tony Sargeant, and its history is detailed below.
Sold to Racing Partnerships (Jersey) Ltd in December 1965. Tony Sargeant, Mac Daghorn and Hugh Dibley raced this car throughout 1966 with great success.
This car was one of Six Lola cars competing in the Group 9 unlimited Sport Car Racing series within the UK during 1966 and in the Can-Am series that same year. Unfortunately on the 11th of September 1966, Hugh Dibley crashed and rolled SL71/19 during the practice session of the CanAm opener at St.Jovite, near Montreal.

During 1966, SL71/19 competed in more UK races than any other Lola T70.

Mac Daghorn - One First.
Hugh Dibley - One First, Two Seconds, One Fourth, Two Fifths.
The crashed car was towed from Canada to Florida where it is believed to have rested until its purchase in 1975 by Mac McClendon, a well-known American Lola restorer. The car again rested with the other Lola models waiting for restoration.
In 2004 a Norwegian car enthusiast commission Mac McClendon to restore the car. The engine was upgraded to the 5.7 litre Chevrolet Corvette F1 1963 model. The engine was the larger choice and was popular during the Can-Am series. The Norwegian owner recently sold the car back to the UK and is now owned by an Investment Company in Jersey, Channel Islands.
