SL73/117 is one of the the ex-American International Racing Team cars. The AIR team was owned by the famous film and TV actor James Garner and SL73/117 took part in several CanAm races in 1968 but its main claim to fame was finishing 2nd to the Penske MkIIIB in the 1969 Daytona 24 Hours where it was driven by Ed Leslie and Lothar Motschenbacher. The same driver pairing also took sixth at the Sebring 12 Hours. The car then passed to Eddie Hill, the famous US Drag Racer, who kept it very original condition with original body (with slight changes made to it by Dan McLaughlin in 1970), engine, gearbox, etc. Next owner was Belgium's Marc Devis and at the end of 2008 Marc sold SL73/117 to Jean Guikas who resides in Marseilles.
