T540E HU55 is owned by David J. Kinsey, Sr. who lives in Virginia, below he tells us about his chassis:
"I was delighted to see that my car shares its current body configuration AND race number with the original T540, #HU1. I purchased it from Michael Rand of Connecticut in April of this year (2013). He built it from the frame he purchased from an unknown source and had the body made from 540E molds. He also built it in the wider “E” configuration. It still has a Ford (Fiesta 771) engine with a cast-iron cylinder head; has a Webster gearbox and the standard VW transaxle"
