HU06 was originally supplied io Carl Haas, as Lola's North American agent, in January 1979. Haas in turn sold it to "P. Phillips", this is likely to be Pierre Phillips of Pierre's Motor Racing in Portland, Oregon. Pierre himself raced a Lola T140 in the SCCA National Championship Formula A/5000 Run-Offs in 1968 and in the 1969 SCCA Continental Championship - Formula A series as well as a T70 in 1967 United States Road Racing Championship.
