T497 HU7 was originally sold by Carl Haas to Tom Foster in 1978. Tom raced the car until 1981 and it was then unused until bought by current owner Reynold Watt. There were only ten 496/497 chassis built to run in the SCCA -C- Sports Racing class, this is number 7 of the ten. Tom Foster and Chuck Billington formed a very successful racing team called "Tracer Racing" They won many CSR championships in SCCA over the years sadly none in this particular chassis. Reynold has now restored HU7 and put it back on the track in September 2005.
