1979 LOLA T492 HU78

The owner of T492 HU78 is Ron Pace who tells us of its very interesting history:
"I can trace the car to 3/1/1980 when it was owned by Herb Stahl in the San Francisco Bay area in California, USA. It was sold by Stahl in 1991 to Dave Rudolph in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA. Both owners campaigned the car in the S2000 class. I purchased HU78 in November of 2006.
It was then converted to a T496/497 and repowered with a Kohler 2cycle 1700 cc engine to become the twin of the Jeff Miller car. The Miller car was purpose built by Lola in 1976 for the Kohler power plant which had to be an unstressed installation. Miller competed in the Can Am series as well as SCCA. Miller won 6 National Championshipsin the SCCA, one of which was in the Lola T496. Mine was built to be the twin of his. We both campaign the cars in vintage Can Am under 2-liter class under the Wynnfurst Team banner."
