1978 LOLA T492 HU28

The new owner of HU28 is David Martinez who lives in Monterrey, Mexico. HU28 was built in March 1978 and shipped to Carl Haas, as now it was fitted with red bodywork.

David bought the car from Bart Wolf in Wisconsin, USA, Bart had kept HU28 in a barn for the past 23 years intending to restore it but never having the time. David saw the car advertised on a web site, he flew to Wisconsin, saw the car and bought it.

As part of the purchase the car was to be made race ready and it has been fitted with new lines, hoses, electric cables, tires, etc. Additionally the engine was broken and it has now had a complete rebuild by Elite Engines the company owned by Steve Knapp. Steve is of course a very well known name in S2000 racing winning the SCCA Sports 2000 Championship in 1986 in a Lola T86/90.

David isn't planning to race HU28, rather he is going to use it 4 or 5 times a year as an exciting Track Day car for himself and his friends in their Autoclub.
