1979 LOLA T492 HU66

T492/HU66 was originally supplied to John Poxon as a rolling chassis and was Invoiced by the Lola factory on 12th January 1979.
Current owner Paul Fox has converted it back from a fairly hot Thundersports spec running on F Atlantic Lola suspension, 4 pot vented discs, 8”/10” Revolution wheels, etc. following a rebuild by Harvey Nicholls.
Previous owners of the car included Richard Burden who bought the car to run in the H.S.C.C. Thundersports series which sadly came to an end after 3 years of ownership.
It had previously been owned by Mike Simpson and run by a company called Tranpower. Mike bought it from Janet somebody (daughter of the GT40 man Willment!) and it was run for her by Andy Storer.
The car was generally referred to as the "Jackson car" as this is the chap who originally had it converted into its Thundersports spec
