HU56 has undergone some significant changes from its original design, most obvious is the new enveloping bodywork which is reminiscent of the centre-seater CanAm designs of the late 1970s/early 1980s. In addition the VW Formula SuperVee engine has been replaced with a Porsche 2.0 litre, flat 4 motor.
