1969 Canadian Road Racing Champion.
Chassis T142/29’s race history began with its purchase at the 1969 London race car show by Formula Racing, owned by Jim and Joan Clayton. Eppie Wietzes was selected as their driver for the 1969 Canadian Road Racing season.
Eppie recalled his experience at the London Race Car Show during a phone conversation in 2005, “We purchased the Lola T142 because it was complete with engine, rather than the McLaren M10A which was displayed less engine”.
The 1969 Canadian Road Championship would be contested by Formula A cars with $1,500.00 of prize money per race and a year end points fund of $45,000.00.
