LOLA B02/50 HU01

HU01 was one of three B02/50s sold to Nordic Racing for the 2002 International Formula 3000 Championship for drivers Ryan Briscoe, Thed Björk and Zsolt Baumgartner

The 2001 Championship had seen almost total domination by the Coca-Cola Nordic Racing Team with Justin Wilson taking three wins and six second places on his way to winning the Championship and Tomáš Enge finishing third with two wins and three thirds to finish third in the table. Nordic took the Teams' Championship with 100 points, their nearest rival scoring just 46.

The 2002 Championship saw a major change with the previous year's chassis the Lola specification chassis the B99/50 being superseded by the new B02/50. The new drivers were Ryan Briscoe, Thed Björk and Zsolt Baumgartner. For whatever reason the season was a disaster with the Nordic team scoring just a single point for Baumgartner in the final race at Monza.

The Nordic team withdrew from the F3000 series at the end of 2002 and it's possible the cars were sold to another team for the final two seasons of the F3000 Championship.
