The T86/00 followed on from the race winning 1985 T900 that saw Mario Andretti take three wins and Al Unser Jr. two and the runner-up spot in the PPG Indy Car World Series.

The full technical details of the T86/00 can be found in the Lola Press Release below.

The T86/00 would find the season tough going with the new model from March, the 88C, dominating the year taking fourteen wins from the seventeen races with the T86/00 managing just two wins for Mario Andretti and a single victory for Al Unser Jr. with the two men finishing 5th and 4th respectively in the final Championship standings.
