THE LOLA T592S

The T592S was a modified version of the T592 starting at the fifth chassis of the run, what the changes were are not shown in Lola Heritage but comparing the two Data Sheets below there are changes to the spring rates, rear anti-roll bar and other details indicating changes to the suspension geometry. The Specification Sheets are virtually word for word duplicates of each other.

Although the final five cars (HU592S/63 to HU69) in the run were built as the T592S, the Lola Chassis Log shows nine of the cars with an "S" (chassis HU53 to HU61) after the chassis number (e.g. HU592/53S) possibly suggesting (and this is entirely my supposition) that Lola updated these after they had received their chassis plates, just adding a "S" whereas the last five were built later allowing the "S" to be added to the type number. To further confuse things HU62, HU65 and HU66 do not have the "S" addition either after the type number or after the chassis number, whether this is correct or a mistake on the chassis log is not clear.
