The T497 was the Lola design eligible for C Sports Racer (CSR) class in the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America), for further details see the T496 entry.
As the T496 was virtually identical to the Sports 2000 T490, the T497 used the T492 as its base so the only difference between this and the T496 was the change to rear mounted water radiators and a new nosecone.
