The T326 was the follow-up to the Championship winning T324 and it was a further development of the successful T320 series. Once again it proved to be a success winning two UK championships and, more importantly, taking three wins for Axel Plankenhorn in a T326 updated to T328 spec (see below) and two for Manfred Trint in the 1977 VW-Castrol European Super Vee Championship. As in the previous year several teams opted for the ATS-style bodywork though the original Lola bodywork was favoured in the US.

The Axel Plankenhorn car is a bit of an oddity, it is listed in the Lola Chassis log as HU 326/328-83. One possibility is that it was built as a T326 but unsold so the Lola factory converted it to T328 spec and then sold it to Plankenhorn. To (hopefully) avoid confusion the results for this car are listed both here and on the T328 entry.

Full details of the T326 specifications can be found in the graphic at the bottom of the page.
