Don Markle is a volunteer archivist with the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame. One of Don's specialties is collecting event posters and programs - you may be surprised how many feature Lola cars.

“I am a volunteer archivist with the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame and am responsible for race programs and results. Between the Archives, my program collections, and a friend in the US who has about 5000, I have been sending off images of covers and entry lists for FA, F5000 and CanAm2 to Allen Brown at Old Racing Cars. Many covers and posters feature Lolas.

I photographed sports car racing here in Canada, the NE US and had a couple of trips to Monaco. This was just a hobby and by the mid eighties, I had turned to Historic Racing so I could shoot the same cars again. Pete Lyons' first CanAm book has my photo on the cover.

I have photos of many of the Lola CanAm's...the first generation, as well as the T70 coupes at places like Watkins Glen. I am also a model collector and am looking at one case that has thirteen T600s, in different liveries.

Congratulations on your fiftieth anniversary and good luck with your T70 Continuation Series.

Regards, Don Markle......actually my professional activities centered around Civil Engineering...the racing stuff is just a hobby.”
