1978 LOLA T620 HU1

Super Vee T620 HU1 currently resides in Germany with its owner Markus von Haken who tells us:

"HU1 was built in late 1977 and is the prototype for the new, in 1978, series 620. As remembered by Bob Marston the car was tested at Snetterton by Nigel Mansell and Arie Luyendyck in the winter of 1977. The car was then sold to Haas Racing and raced sucessfully in the US Formula Super Vee Championship with Herm Johnson taking 2nd place in the 1978 national championship. After an extensive restoration by Lee Chapman Racing in the US the car was exported back by its current owner to Europe in 2017. It is now raced regularly in the Historic European Formula Vee series."
