I am wondering if anyone on the forum could be of assistance in helping me identify some rear suspension uprights. While I am not 100% sure I think they may possibly be of Lola origins.
The parts were fitted to an Australian built Sport Sedan race car that was constructed in the early 1980s and featured quite a few Formula 5000 components. This was a bit of a trend during that period as the Formula 5000 category finished up in Australia. Many driveline/ suspension parts ended up being used in Sport sedan race cars as there was no other class at the time where these components could be used.
Details of the uprights are as follows:
- Width at bottom of upright casting:
Approx 245-250mm
- Width at top of upright casting:
Approx 50-55 mm
- Height of upright casting:
Approx 360mm
- Distance from bottom of upright to the centre point of where the axle runs:
Approx 210 mm
- Casting number:
D280/4014

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
