Hobie ran his car this past weekend at my event at VIR and it looks and sounds fantastic! I can think of no greater tribute to the marque than to have Lola build these cars...
The finish is superb and I must admit, even with a Comp Daytona (S III, '73 Nart LeMans entry), a 275 LM, a Maserati 300S, a 250 GT SWB and a 250 LWB Interim present, it still was perhaps the most popular car in the paddock and particularly on track.
The folks watching don't know or care about "continuation" cars and having driven both of Lee Holman's cars at Roebling and at VIR, from the drivers seat, they feel just as exhiliarating as the original...
We have three T70's including Hobie's car coming, as well as quite a few Sports 2000 cars (I'll be in T88/90 HU12) at the VIR Gold Cup in two weeks.
Johan, you need to make a quick trip up here!
