A Quiz - sort of

Postby Gerald Swan » Thu Jan 04, 2007 8:56 pm

This is only a sort of quiz, mainly because I don't know the answer .

The question is who is testing this T333 and where.

Redman wa my first thought but when I kept looking at it I decided it wasn't as the hair and nose don't look right. It's really annoying me and I will probably feel really stupid when I find out the answer :).

Unless it's a trick of the light this guy looks like his hair is turning grey, found this pic of Morton in 1984 on Tony Adamowicz's site http://www.a2zracer.com/page86.html and his hair doesn't have any grey. Of course he could be using hair dye .

If you haven't visited Tony's site give it a view, there are some wonderful pictures from his entire career and didn't he drive some wonderful cars :D.

Since you've already answered the question it's too late for me to get it wrong, but I would have guessed Danny Sullivan.

It does kind of look like Sullivan but I wouldn't have thought he would have been trying a CanAm car in 1977 as, from memory, he was in Europe then trying to work his way to F1 via F2. Of course that doesn't mean he might not have been keeping his options open.

The open-face helmet makes me think it might be more likely to be a sportscar driver or perhaps Trans Am.

I can see that and I think Willie favoured an open-face helmet in a lot of his historic racing but I'm not sure.

I really don't know the answer to this one I may have to bite the bullet and put the pictures on the Nostalgia Forum at autosport.com and see what the smartalecs there can come up with.... wait a minute I'm one of the smartalecs there .
