Question 2

Postby AndyP » Thu Jan 04, 2007 8:10 pm

And now for my question #2. Does anyone know where there would be a set of engineering drawings (blueprints) available to enable me to build a tub for a T70 Mk3B (the coupe, not the spyder)? I really want a T70 but don't have the finances to buy the real thing. I really like what I've seen about the RSR T70, but I want a car that is much closer to the real McCoy. I'd like to be able to use as many original Lola bits and pieces as I can scrape up. I'm certainly not opposed to upgrading/improveing things like brakes and safety items and I'd prefer to get or make the bodywork with a heavier wall thickness for durability purposes. The intent is to use the car for things like Track Days, occasional street use and possibly some Open Road Racing duty.
I have experience with fabrication as well as the good fortune of having a friend who is a former fabricator and mechanic with a long history in Can Am, Indy and Formula racing.
I welcome your comments, criticisims and suggestions.
Thanks,
AndyP
