LOLA T-299 Info

Postby TOJ » Fri Mar 17, 2006 12:44 pm

Hello,
I am looking for information about Lola T299.
All I know is that it was the 1981 2-litre car. According to the Lola chassis log there was only one built. It should be chassis number HU299/109. The invoice date was 30 April 1981, it was fitted with a Hewland FT200 number 1448, the colour was Phoenix Orange and it was delivered to Heine Mader in Switzerland (who was a Lola agent). I guess therefore it must have raced in European 2-litre racing.
Does anybody got information about its racing activity, pictures, possible drivers, present owner, etc?
Thanks in advance.
Greetings.

the 299 chassis is probably the 298 car built in the following year and highly likely to have been used for mountain racing rather than circuit racing
"is it in yet" said the mechanic to the apprentice
