Failing that if you resize it and change the filename and/or location when you are on the Forum you can click the Edit button on your post and remove the old address and replace it with the new one.

Done! :D

Really neat oil coolers. Interesting 12" rear wheels or are they 14 " ?
Do you have vented rotors Eddie ? My coupe before I turned it back into a spyder...
I like the look of your flairs better than my stock rear end..Image

Thanks!
If I remember correctly, the rears are 12 in. Pretty much like the ones on your car, I just polished the edges of the spokes, and painted the un-polished part black.
Rotors are vented. I like the big flares over the tires, too. And those monster spoilers on the rear settle the car down very noticeably at anything much over 100MPH! It just gets happy, FEELS better over 100! :)

Thanks!

You have 12" wheels and I have 10" wheels. I'm switching to 12" wheels and putting flairs on using yours as a model of how the car should look.

T70 road car(s)

Postby Al B » Wed Jun 28, 2006 9:50 pm

As a matter of interest, what performance figures (0-60,0-100,etc) do your cars do? My impreza is finally back on the road with a supposed 300 (flywheel) Bhp and should, if I had the guts and pockets deep enough, go to 60mph in about 5 seconds. Any ideas??

With a 365 cubic inch all-iron Chevrolet in my Lola T-70 Coupe, my 0 to 60 mph averaged about 3.2 seconds, with a best of 3.0.

0 to 100 average about 7.5 seconds, worst was 7.9, best was 6.9 seconds.

0 to 120 around 9.9 to 10.9

0 to 150, only one two-way run, 17.2 seconds into the wind, 15.7 with the wind.

Dyno sheet on the iron engine is 512 HP at 6700, 478 foot pounds @4500.

I am about 90% done with the installation of an all-aluminum 440 cubic inch Small-block Chev that dynoed at 672 HP@ 6900; 603 foot pounds @ 5000,; so with 160 more HP and about 90 pounds less weight, should be a nice improvement in the above figures! :)

The T-70 really makes a nice road car. I have thousands of miles on mine and am thinking about taking it to Europe next spring to run the Historic Targa Florio in it which I ran this year in 002C and 0846.

As an aside this is an Event that I really recommend (Lola's are eligible)
and if anyone is interested PM me.

Best

Gentlemen,

How nice to have contributions from august members of our community such as Eddie Hill. Hearing the old names and knowing that they are still revered and honoured in their neighbourhood gives me a tingle moment.

On the topic of road going T70's, some guys known as the Bartz brothers built some road going T163's I believe and clothed them in T70 Mk3 bodywork.

Can anyone make this story grow?

Johan's recent barn find was a T-70 chassis that they couped and he reconverted to it's original configuration. BTW there's a great shot of Johan's handiwork in the recent Vintage MotorSports.
