Lola T91/51 on Ebay

Postby Harlequin » Mon Dec 30, 2013 7:44 pm

I have just noticed whilst browsing through Ebay UK a Lola T91/50 for sale under the grouping 'racing cars'. The car is alleged to be ex Hill and Eddie Irvine. It is without engine and appears a little 'sad'. In its original white livery and on at just below £14,000. Perhaps someone would like to rescue this car and spend just a little/lot of money. F3000 car are cheap to buy engines not so there lies the main problem
then uk noise issues means you need to make special exhaust and silencers
some guys have fitted the Ozzie Holden V6 motor as a cheap alternative BUT
if u want to keep car regional u need £30-40k for a fresh DFV or mugen motor
I have 2.5 mugens to sell 1 is blown other had bottom end go 1 is stripped for
rebuild have spare oil pumps heads from the 3rd broken motor
I'm happy to sell the lot in 1 hit have no interest at the moment to invest £25k
in rebuilding 2 motors from them too many other arc ears to squander my money on!
"is it in yet" said the mechanic to the apprentice
