T644E

Postby ponters » Wed Sep 12, 2012 7:17 pm

I have recently purchased a FF T644E and looking to put it back to its original spec- Mine has side rads , US spec wheels and different nose. Does anyone out there either have one or know of anyone with one that would not mind me having a look at theirs and a chat about the cars and parts/body work availability? New to the forum so hope this will get some response. I am located in East Hert's /Essex border. Regards Mark

Hi - I have copies of the spec sheets, drawings, part no's, etc. for the T644 from back when I owned one. If you PM me with your address I'd be happy to copy & post to you, if they're any use?

Hi!

We have talked about our respective T644Es and when you saw it last it looked a basket case, parked in dishevelled fashion on a trailer!

Now, however, the car lives again and it had its first outing at Snetterton on the 200 circuit last Friday.

Amazingly it ran almost faultlessly and apart from the fact the morning was wet and car hadn't turned a wheel in 12 years we had a great day. Many smiles and lots of plans emerging to have it running again very soon.

The second car is now receiving attention as well so hopefully there will be two more out on track in the medium future, great time to start isn't it with the winter fast approaching!!

I can say that 12 year old Avon ACB10s don't offer the best grip at first but they did start to "come back" when the track dried for the final session.

Much work to do to perfect it but hopefully this is a pretty original car and we are trying hard to keep the spec as originally supplied.

The car about to undergo work is T664E HUB23 so the one that has run is HUB24 - consecutive chassis numbers whicjh is why I have kept the two cars together over many years as that seems an amazing coincidence!!

It was great to see a few cars out at the Monoposto event at Snetterton a few weeks ago.
