Wanted: Tech-tips for removing rear-end from engine on T94

Postby Henk » Sun Jan 16, 2011 4:06 pm

Does anybody have experience with the removing of the bellhousing-transmission on a T94? I bought a Holset turbocharger, that part was missing, but I think I have to remove the rear-end. Or is the top-bellhouse enough to fit the turbo? In that case I have to support the car, because of the wishbones and shocks that are bolted to the bellhouse. Tips?

I tried to do it dispite I have no instructions, but it was easy to do. The bellhouse top was easy to remove, and i could place the holset in it. The only problem is that the turbo is made for Cosworth XB, not for a Toyota proto engine. The exhaust inlets were exact the opposite as Toyota made them, so i had to cut the pipes and weld them opposit to get the lenght right. But it fits now and looks cool. It is there just for show purposes, the engine is not complete and parts are not for sale.
