Have you owned this Lola t 492?

Lola T 492, in 1986 you sold it to alan or Harry Humberstone.

It had an orange body and you lived in Herne Bay or Whitstable and your name (might) be Tony Baskhill

If all this rings a big bell then i now have your car, but I need to know the chasis number!

If you have found this, please pm me if you can.

Graham

Bumping this to the top to see if it rattles any memories at all.

I know the name is wrong.

So far I cannot find any info on this car/driver in that area other than it was a complete T 492 with original orange Lola body.

If anyone has any thoughts even if you are not too sure of the accuracy, please post or PM.

Thanks, Graham.

Via the wonders of my other massive thread on my Lola T 492 hillclimb car some important info has emmerged about the grey part of the history.
I hope this lot following will ring bells:

A refresher:
Alan humberstone crashed T 490 HU6 when it had a Skoda body on it as a Thundersport at a very wet Lydden Hill in '84.

The car was rapidly stripped and another T492 this time was sourced and bits transfered over to this 'new' car.
The new car came from Herne Bay, bought by Alan for Tony Harman (Haggis speed) and John Schieder to rebuild for Alan.

Alan could not recall the name of the seller, but today someone else may have found the seller!

So:

The 'new' car (in Thundersports guise too) was bought from Dennis Humphries Motorsport (Kent) Ltd in mid 85
Dennis lives(d) in Herne Bay.

I have a phone number off the actual advert which i will soon ring. He also had a Chevron to sell too.

The crumpled T 490 HU6 was sat the same time offered for sale damaged by Colin Poole Racing.

Does any of this ring any bells please?

I don't know if Dennis is still there and if the man is dead I don't want to call the house.
My motive for all this is to find the chassis number of my car.
It begs the question if HU6 is still alive?!
I thought it was scrapped.

I am in the very last moves now to complete the history of my Lola T 492.

The car was owned in 1985 by Paul Wilkins in Sussex.

It was a dark red with alum winglets and very tired.
He restored it and sold on in 1985.

i need to get back to it's origin of 1978.

The owner before Paul i believe is dead, died racing or testing an Austin Healey.

I know my car raced in 1980 in a series sponsored by Caribbean airlines.

Does this mean anything to anyone on here please?
