Tub repairs

Postby 911hillclimber » Thu May 22, 2008 5:23 pm

I get my 'new' T 492 on sat, and I'm expecting top have to do some tub repairs soon.

Where do you get the right alloy sheeting from for tub panel replacement/repairs?
Can't imagine it is simply Duralumin nowadays?

Also: where do you get the chassis tubing from for the body mounting frames and more stressed areas (CDMS I guess it is)

Thanks, Graham 8)

I'm over in Wolverhampton, so quite close to Tamworth.

I now have the car, and the tub looks really really good. The side pods are not standard and too wide for the T 492 body, so they need to be remade.
Here is the chassis:

Thanks for the info.
