Modified Sports 2000 T492 classified in Groupe 6

Postby uelieisen » Fri Sep 21, 2007 5:34 pm

Hello everybody, regards from Switzerland!!!!!
Can anybody provide me with documentation/evidence and/or photos from the period 1976-1981 or also a little later of any modified T492 that was raced and classified in the groupe 6 (2-seater racing cars)??? Somebody told me thar Derek Daley raced a T492 with a BDG and that it was shown in some LOLA-books and furthermore it seems that Lola Heritage had a picture of it on the website at one time. Can anybody help me because I want to modify my HU68 in order to be more competitive against the other groupe6 2-liter-cars in hill-climb racing on the continent. The S2000's have no seperate class and are classified within the groupe six. The FIA wants proof that this was done in the period.
Any infos are highly appreciated

In 1986 I started to participate in vintage racing all over Europe. 2003 was the year when I bought my T492, HU68. I used it extensivly on endurance-, sprint- and hillclimb-racing.

I had a 492 I raced in c sports scca regional. wings and slicks and a bdg.
It was allowed because it fell under the same class as a 497. Check to see if they will let you upgrade to 497 specs as the chassis and suspension were almost identical.
