T70 MK3b Chassis

Hi all,

could anyone possibly tell me if the above chassis`rear crossmember was originally made of cast or perhaps even forged magnesium?

Hi Marcus.
Yes, both upper and lower rear beams on the 3b are cast magnesium. Hope this helps.

Just wondering if the upper and lower rear beams are identical to those on the T160s and 163s ?

Hi Marcus. Long time no talk. Sorry I missed you at Spa.Will write soon. But anyway, T70 top and bottom beams totally different to 160 and 163. I know a lot of people say they are "Sister" chassis but they really are completely different.

(BTW, always thought T163 and 3b chassis are identical since Lola seemingly had followed the concept of some kind of universal chassis for a brief period.)
