Looking for Lola Mk6 GT (LGT-1)

Postby Cougar Cobra » Sat Jun 30, 2007 9:10 am

Hi everyone,
I am Active Duty US Navy and currently stationed in Japan...I understand the 1962 Lola Mk 6 GT (LGT-1) was sold to Shoji Tochibayashi in Japan perhaps three years ago...any idea exactly where in Japan it might be now?? I would very much enjoy finding it and sharing some recent pictures with the group!!

Thanks in advance,
Sean

This is first time for me to hear Mr.Tochibayashi bought Lola Mk6 GT.
He is a famous person for old car fan.
He restored Kojima KE007 and an owner of the garage which name is Banfan.

Ohazamiizugahara-san,
Thank you very much...I followed your lead and contacted the KE007 Fan Club, below is their reply;

Dear Mr.Walden

Thank you for your mail.
My name is Shinji Iwase and owner of KE007 fancub page , a friend
of Mr.Tochibayashi.

I send your mail to my friend Mr.Tochibayashi And talked about Lola
Mk6. He is not the owner of Mk6. He is a president of restore shop and he restored Mk6 on his business. And now Mk6 is in his factory now.
The ower broke Mk6 on a truck. And Mr Tochibayashi try to restore
again. He went to measure Mr George Walton Lucas Jr's Mk6. Because Mk6 in Japan has modified body. And this time the owner want to restore to original body.

Sorry to my broken Japanese English(?).

Please enjoy Japan till you go back your mission. I just hope you
enjoy to know your favorite car's today.

Best Regard
Shinji Iwase

I posted to the Japanese blog and asked the information of Lola GT in Japan.

This machine was imported in 2003 and there was an article in the following Japanese magazine.
