In may 1972 a race called "criterium du Nivernais" happen at Magny-Cours , G Larousse droved HU 002,Edwards chassis 22, B Smith HU 026,
HU 014 was droved by a french : Cheli . I don't know more about this driver . French magasine "sport auto" call the car Lola -Minel-St Bernard-Motul.

"Team Guston" write in Atlas Forum:

"- Nello Chelli was a Frenchman from Dijon, not an Italian as mentioned for the Imola 500 km race.

- Official name for Minel entries was Racing Team Minel. Motul and Saint Bernard were only sponsors. I cannot remember if this team actually had one or two T290 as its disposal in 1972 (1 for Monot + 1 for Chelli). This (or these) car(s) was (were) mainly seen in hillclimbs."

Best regards

nello chelli is something to do with toyota dealership in france i never found any races that he drove in only 2 he entered but did not race in!!

i am still not convinced the team had 2 cars perhaps only 1

the list you have on your site is MY info with WSRP website info that i have researched and had clarification with Martin Krecji and 1 or 2 other guys 8)
I have been waiting for any of our french friends to come up with more news and info on Monot & Chelli doing races

yes driftwood, the list of T290 in 1972 is a collection of any informations I found in the internet, in foren, books and magazines.

Your and Mr. Krecji research was very importend to bring the history of the T290 together. All owners of "historic" cars have the same problem: to search for the history of the car for the heritage papers!

The internet and list's like the T290 list are helpfull to give informations for everyone .......
