19/02/07 - LOLA STAFF SKILLS RECOGNISED IN NVQ CERTIFICATE PRESENTATION

The Huntingdon based Lola Group recognised its staffs achievements in gaining Level 2 NVQ qualifications in Composites skills with a special presentation of their certificates by the company’s Executive Chairman and owner Mr Martin Birrane today.

54 members of the Lola Group staff received certificates for a variety of skills ranging from Laminate Resin Infused skills, hand based processing and fabrication, machine based processing and sampling and testing.

The award is organised and overseen by Composites Training Consortium and the awards are issued by Skills Assurance Services Ltd.

Presenting the award to the staff, Martin Birrane acknowledged the depth of skills employed at Lola by saying, “Lola’s commitment to training and assuring a total competency in the workforce is a vital part of continuing to evolve the company in successfully expanding in to new arenas.”

“Lola’s continuing success in attracting customers and project partners is based on its ability to deliver outstanding results in a variety of industries. Our staff truly reflect that vision and these qualifications are another ringing endorsement of the companies professionalism.”

Also on hand at Lola were CTC directors Martin Taylor-Wilde and Chris Little, who both spent time at Lola headquarters implementing the training.

Martin Taylor-Wilde was delighted with the Lola workforce and commented on his time training them, saying: “The Lola staff were very receptive to the course and showed extreme diligence and commitment to achieving these qualifications. I am sure that in the coming years they will only enhance the already impressive skills base here in Huntingdon.”
